Thanks for visiting my website. It's not easy to seek counseling, and I appreciate the big step you've taken. I'm here to help if I can.
I enjoy working with many challenging issues, and appreciate the differences in working with women, men, and older adolescents. Each client is special and deserves not only my full attention, but also a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to their needs.
Blending cognitive-behavioral and psychodymamic approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I encourage people to build on their strengths, as they identify and achieve their own goals.
As a practical, interactive therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and useful feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. With sensitivity, compassion, and a little humor, I work with people to find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and psychological issues. I may suggest homework, promote the use of relaxation skills, or refer to outside resources when appropriate.
I offer individual and couples psychotherapy in Pennington, New Jersey. I love my work and feel so fortunate to have a job that's always interesting. I am continually amazed at the complexity of human behaviors and emotions, and how the counseling process can help clients discover so many hidden strengths. It's an honor to be able to help people reduce their anxiety, relieve their depression, or improve their relationships.
I have over thirty years of experience in the provision of counseling services. I hold a master’s degree in counseling, am licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey and Virginia, and am also a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Previous work experience includes inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment for adults, adolescents and their families, medical and vocational rehabilitation, career counseling and job placement, employee assistance programs, domestic violence programs, and behavioral case management with insurance companies. I have consulted with businesses on a range of mental health issues, and have provided training to professionals and the public on a variety of topics.

I offer individual and couples counseling to adults and older adolescents in a private and relaxed environment.
Generally, I see a client weekly, though we may decide to increase or decrease visits to meet their specific needs. Therapy works best when the goals of the counselor and client are in alignment. I help a client develop a plan that makes sense to them, knowing that plans and goals may change as our work evolves.
My varied experiences have allowed me to be comfortable with people who have a wide range of issues and symptoms.
In an accepting and supportive atmosphere, I help clients find ways to work through challenges and improve their lives.
I'm available Tuesday - Thursday 9:00 - 5:00

45-55 minute Counseling Session: $120
